<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-y35bHAond24/T705ICAKVII/AAAAAAAACQg/PO7t3dZxqXA/s1600/IMG_0203.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-y35bHAond24/T705ICAKVII/AAAAAAAACQg/PO7t3dZxqXA/s400/IMG_0203.JPG" height="67" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Nars' Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Via Veneto versus Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion.... you first... which one do you love?<br />
<br />
Okay, I'll go first! Hands down UD's Perversion!<br />
<br />
<b><u>Nars' Via Veneto</u> does not show up BLACK - even after swiping it across my eyes several times. It's a funny color.. in between black and a dark gray. It runs... weird considering when I put it on my hand and wait a few seconds and then rub it, it doesnt budge, AT ALL. But on my waterline, tightline and even upper lashline... 3-4 hours into wearing it, it's all over the place! I CANT STAND THAT! OY!</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TLQmq7ePYM8/T708sEnkOfI/AAAAAAAACQc/894kU-9zhMo/s1600/IMG_0201.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TLQmq7ePYM8/T708sEnkOfI/AAAAAAAACQc/894kU-9zhMo/s400/IMG_0201.jpg" height="172" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b><u>UD's Perversion</u> is definitely my fav of the two! It glides on, <i>literally</i>. It's does not budge on my eyes - anywhere I put it. AND it shows up BLACK, exactly what I expect. It's a creamy, soft liner. What I cant stand is the cap, though. It doesn't stay on and has come apart in my make-up bag a few times and made a black mess. I have had this liner on my eyes after a night of partying and waking up the next morning still looking like I just put it on! (I dont recommend nor do I like going to sleep with my makeup on, but lets be real we all do it from time to time! I'm guilty lol, clearly.)</b><br />
<br />
I have watery eyes... not allergies, I am just a freak. I tear up multiple times a day so I need something that is really going to do what it says it's going to do! I initially thought I was going to have that with Nars' Via Veneto, so when I got it in the mail I was so excited to try it out. I really gave it a chance. I wore it about 10 times before I just had to find an alternative. UD's Perversion is great. I not only use the pencil itself on my eyes, but I use an eyeliner brush and brush it across the tip of the pencil then line my eyes... it's creamy enough to provide an excellent amount onto my brush so I have a simple yet sassy cat eye.<br />

<br />
I am going to just cut right to the chase... this shit is bomb! Excuse my French, but lets be real here - if you havent tried it (and you have dry skin) GET ON THE BANDWAGON!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RYjkTnisOa8/Tz86l-OgHPI/AAAAAAAACAs/wIqeaT-oHjI/s1600/bbface4.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RYjkTnisOa8/Tz86l-OgHPI/AAAAAAAACAs/wIqeaT-oHjI/s400/bbface4.png" height="347" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I purchased this on a whim about 2 weeks ago... I had extra bucks at CVS and I said AHHH WHAT THE HECK! I use the Medium/Deep color as I am an NC30 skin tone. I would be alittle too dark for the Light one they have, and I am alittle light for this one, but it blends so well you can not even tell!<br />
<br />
I have dry skin, if you know anything about me, it's that... dry skin, dry scalp, dry lips, dry EVERYTHING! Okay, you get the point... so having decided to try this has made such a difference in my skin... I cant even stand the fact that it works.. lol like you know when you hear all the hype about something and then you hear mixed reviews it starts to make you think that it's not going to work for you so why even try.. right? I am Skeptical Sally alot of the time and Over-analytical Olly as well.. so I really didnt think this was going to work or I was even going to like it. I have made this a part of my every day routine and if that doesnt mean something, then maybe what I have to say wont convert you.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
I havent ever tried a B.B. Cream before.. I didnt even know what the heck it was before I tried it - I just heard all the hype and just decided that paying the $2.99 that I did for it (extra bucks were $10 worth) would be worth it if it sucked. Having never tried another B.B. Cream and considering this my holy grail, IF there's something better then this LET ME KNOW because I am inlove.<br />
<br />
Alright now to the product... as pictured above it kind of looks like a gel consistency and well, it kind of is! It's creamy and soft, and comes out thick and gel-like, but once you blend, it really evens out your skin and settles perfectly ON your skin, NOT into your skin. Which is a plus!<br />
<br />
I have rosacea and keratosis pilaris on my face and I am typically blending concealers and recently using correctors - which for every day make-up is <i>suchhhh a pain in the a########!</i> Let's be real here, no one wants to take an hour to put their makeup on to run to the mall or grocery store! Yeah, thats typically me. I'm ashamed! haha Although this B.B. Cream really does even out my skin and also moisturizes which I really need on a constant basis! Surprisingly this has SPF as well and it even looks great in pictures...I don't get it... IT REALLY WORKS! I sound like a fricken infomercial... ugh! lol<br />
<br />
Warning to my oily skinned lovies... you may not like this! I say that only because this is very creamy and moisturizing... I feel like if you got a hold of this to your face you may become even more oilier - is that even a word? haha This may tend to separate on your skin throughout the day and make you look shiny. That is my professional opinion, although I would love to hear your feedback if you have tried this particular one!<br />
<br />
Here are some pics!<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">My mascara is alittle jacked up lol and I didnt curl my lashes haha<br />
I also bite my lips, shhhhhhh!!!! :(<br />
I'm a MESS but my skin isnt!!! :P</td></tr>

<br />
My routine whenever I wear this B.B. Cream is to:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Moisturize with Clinique Moisture Surge</li>
<li>Prime with Laura Mercier Foundation Primer</li>
<li>Garnier B.B. Cream in Medium/Deep</li>
<li>MAC MSF in Medium Dark</li>
<li>Blush of whatever sorts I want for that day...</li>
</ul>
<div>
The picture above is me tonight wearing Mac Harmony & Coy Girl blushes mixed - I also penciled in my eyebrows and put mascara on.</div>

I want your feedback on this B.B Cream or any other ones! Hope this helped some of you!!</div>

<br />
I am following up on my previous post where I said I'd talk about my HAIRCUT... butttt I've also dyed my hair! I totally raved about my super awesome blonde hair, and then I go ahead and dye my hair brunette.. <i>who does that?</i>!<br />
<br />
Dolls, I HAD TO! After I cut all my hair off, I just didnt feel right being blonde anymore. I LOVED when it was longer and blonde, but short and blonde was starting to annoy me! Nonetheless, it's winter here in NJ and my hair was just looking super crappy. It's different being in the Sunny Summertime with beautiful blonde locks... sun reflecting off your hair, wind breezes through it.. so fab! But I was just feeling <i>blah</i> and decided to get back to my natural color! <i>I am loving, it by the way!</i><br />
<i><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I am truly loving it! I havent seen my hair this color in over 2 years, kinda feels like the old me! I am really looking forward to not having to bleach it every few weeks as well! I will definitely give it some kind to grow out healthy (which it's SUPER healthy right now so I know it will only get better!), get a few trims along the way, and then eventually grow it out super long again! CANT WAIT!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So, thats my hair update!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

<br />
Totally need to rave right now...<br />
<br />
I received my Hana Pro Flat Iron a week a half ago, and I. AM. IN. LOVE. I have crazy hair. You will see below how crazy it really is! I just recently cut it (which I will show pictures of and talk more about in my next post). But before I cut it, it was long and super knotty, and dry. It sucked! I had no choice to go this short due to how damaged it actually was. I have been "blonde" or highlighted hardcore "blonde" since 2009. I get my hair bleached every few months and lets just say I am lucky I still have hair. lol<br />
<br />
Before I ever dyed my hair it was sooo gorgeous, soft, long, and dark. Super pretty, but also, SUPER boring. I dont regret ever adding the blonde to my hair because I love it and so does my family and friends. So, I am not complaining, but rather explaining my situation.. lol<br />
<br />
Anyways, I have been using my Flat Iron on my <i>crazy</i> hair, and it has made it feel so amazing, I play with it non stop! It's soooooo soft, and feels so healthy. Can a hair straightener actually do that? My Hana Pro does!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MJezoHUELpM/TuHKmzn71lI/AAAAAAAAB7M/icA--P7LL_Y/s1600/HanaPro.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="516" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MJezoHUELpM/TuHKmzn71lI/AAAAAAAAB7M/icA--P7LL_Y/s640/HanaPro.png" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
See for yourself! (totally embarrassed of my birds nest hair - lol)<br />

I love how easy it is to use, and how you can control the heat settings - it also heats up super quickkkk! The heat proof mat that comes with it is so essential! I never owned one before and I am so so happy I have one now! It also came with a heat proof pouch which is great for traveling!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #3c393a; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br />

</div>Hey Dollies!<div><br />
</div><div>Welcome to the cold winter months! I live in NJ and if any of you have the kind of weather we have here, you <i>totally</i> know what I am talking about! HELLO CRACKED, DRY LIPS! Ugh! I <i>love</i> this time of year, but I <i>cant stand</i> what it does to my lips!</div><div><br />
</div><div>I want to let you know what I use on my lips to help with the dryness, cracking, chapping, and peeling. Sounds terrible, I know. But there are solutions!</div><div><br />
</div><div><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Qe9liHbsQbo/TrNHeZ-wAvI/AAAAAAAABmM/EqUp0Q_LxRU/s1600/lipscrubreview.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="296" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Qe9liHbsQbo/TrNHeZ-wAvI/AAAAAAAABmM/EqUp0Q_LxRU/s640/lipscrubreview.png" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b><br />
</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><u>Victoria's Secret Smooth FX Lip Scrub</u>: This comes in two parts attached together. The top part is a balm (the purple), and the bottom part is the lip scrub (clear with little baby beads). This lip scrub, is <i>alright</i>. I mean, it's a good lip scrub for those of you with minimal dry, cracked lips. It really doesnt have a distinct taste (which is a plus), and will do the trick if you want to clean up a bit and need some hydration. The lip balm is great, too! I love it! Definitely hydrating and tastes good!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><u>Lush Lip Scrub in Bubblegum</u>: This is a more textured lip scrub with a light bubblegum taste to it. I like this one better than the VS Lip Scrub. I constantly lick my lips so they get chapped and dry really easily. This lip scrub really helps to clean up the peeling. It's not as hydrating as the VS Lip Scrub, but typically you want to add a balm to your lips after, so regardless it's still great! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><u>Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine</u>: This is my go-to lip product to hydrate my lips after I have scrubbed them. I love this stuff! I use it throughout my day as well. My lips need all I can get and this really keeps them hydrated for extended periods of time and also helps when my lips are really chapped and I dont have my medicated chapstick with me!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><u>Medicated Chapstick</u>: I use this often as well! Due to the fact I lick my lips like CRAZY - this helps my lips when they get super red and start to hurt. This does tingle on your lips, especially if they are red. It's medicated so it started working immediately to alleviate the pain from the soreness and redness. IT REALLY WORKS! In just 24 hours after super sore redness and dryness, my lips were restored and I was back to using my Korres Lip Butter.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">All these products are great! I use them daily/weekly and they truly help with cracked, peeled, sore, red, dry lips. I have to stay on top of my lip treatments due to the fact I am on the go and I do wear lipstick/lipgloss daily. It's not cute to have dry peeled lips while wearing lipstick! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Are there any lip products you use to cure/treat winter lips?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">XO!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KR8Xmv8Xt8/TWjCXbNf11I/AAAAAAAAARc/spMUYvvpSdo/s1600/signature1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KR8Xmv8Xt8/TWjCXbNf11I/AAAAAAAAARc/spMUYvvpSdo/s1600/signature1.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

<br />
A few weeks ago I did a HAUL on some makeup products I purchased and I told ya I'd be reviewing some...<br />
<br />
2 of the products in that haul were MAC's Viva Glam I and MILANI's Rose Hip. I didn't include MAC's Up The Amp because I purchased it a few days later.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CucBLqnmXCA/Tp4uuVwmUXI/AAAAAAAABl8/zv3x6KpvTMg/s1600/lipstickreview.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CucBLqnmXCA/Tp4uuVwmUXI/AAAAAAAABl8/zv3x6KpvTMg/s640/lipstickreview.png" width="594" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gmLVI6gWaeU/Tp4u6rXuU3I/AAAAAAAABmE/W7f4pQdaDc8/s1600/lipstickswatches.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="588" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gmLVI6gWaeU/Tp4u6rXuU3I/AAAAAAAABmE/W7f4pQdaDc8/s640/lipstickswatches.png" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I love them all.. although each one is slightly different in terms of quality..</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>Mac's UP THE AMP</b> is such a beautiful color I cant even stand it. I wore it to the first day of NJ FASHION WEEK.. it's the first photo shown in the post before this one... it's just simply darling. It has somewhat of a soft feel to it on your lips at first, kind of glossy-ish. But after I'd say 5 minutes, it dries out. Which to me I'm okay with. For days I'm working and I cant touch up my makeup for 8+ hours, I need a lipstick that is going to stay. I need it to not bleed, and I need it to stain and stay, and this lipstick is IT! It didnt bleed at all. It also didnt fade. I forgot to lip line my lips before I put this on and for a moment, I didnt even care. I figured I'd keep it on me at all times and check up on my lips when I felt I needed to. Yeah, even without lip liner this puppy stayed in place! A new favorite of mine for SURE!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>Mac's VIVA GLAM I</b> is a gorgeous deep red color. It is very drying. It is a matte color so it's expected to. I chose this color because I didnt want a red that was going to make my face stand out, I didnt want it to be like "WHOA, THATS RED!" I wanted it to be like a Merlot red, a devious, sassy, red and while I tested it on my hands at the MAC store, I still wasnt sure if I'd like it on my lips.. the color was just what I wanted, but it's not the 'IT' color until you wear it. I am SO happy I purchased it because while I put it on to a meeting for work, as I am driving there I could only think about it bleeding around my lips, or onto my teeth.. going to a meeting which you need to speak at would NOT help if you have red teeth. YUCK! This lipstick (while I did swear Revlon Lip Liner) stayed perfectly in place at the perfect times. If you lick your lips (I'm a huge lip licker, haha) then this lipstick bleeding can happen. I found that when I made this lipstick wet by licking my lips it bled a little bit. I really cant complain about that because it wasnt much and it wasnt often. I wore it for about 6 hours, I touched up twice and it bled like 2 times. I'm cool with that!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>Milani's ROSE HIP </b>is your typical hot pink color. It does have a weird smell to it and tastes kinda funny at first. Both the smell and taste go away after you have it on for a few minutes. I LOVED this color when I saw it on Miss Natty's Beauty Diary. She blogged about it a few weeks ago and I just HAD TO HAVE IT! I wore this on the second day of NJ FASHION WEEK. I had a pink theme going on with my accessories so having pink lips was just a must! It did upset me and frustrate me though.. it's not long lasting AT ALL. I had it on for about 2 hours before it started to fade. It also made my lips super super dry. I had to retouch my lips in a 13 hour time frame about 20 times. I know that sounds crazy haha but I did work for 13 hours straight so needing a lipstick to last for that long is a must.. and I guess I didnt think before hand about that when I put it on. I just saw it as a color that I just loved and had to wear. Staying power is HUGE for me and this didnt do the trick. As far as a gorgeous hot pink color to swear for a normal night on the town for a few hours, or even to work where you know you'll have time to touch up.. then it's perfect.. even for the price it's perfect! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Have any of you purchased any lipsticks and love them because they have excellent staying power, and dont taste bad? lol I am always up for purchasing new fun colors, but if the lipstick tastes bad and wont stay... I might have to pass... Let me know what you have in mind though!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">XO!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KR8Xmv8Xt8/TWjCXbNf11I/AAAAAAAAARc/spMUYvvpSdo/s1600/signature1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KR8Xmv8Xt8/TWjCXbNf11I/AAAAAAAAARc/spMUYvvpSdo/s1600/signature1.png" /></a></div>LANEYhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13710109040111174782noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8202921356563338502.post-49970335863589660742011-10-18T15:03:00.000-04:002011-10-18T15:03:42.234-04:00NJ FASHION WEEK!Hey Hey Hey!<div><br />
</div><div>I didnt mean to be away for so long - I just got really jam packed with work and then I needed to catch up on my every day life. I've missed you all!!</div><div><br />
</div><div>So... where I've been!</div><div><br />
</div><div>I was selected to work with Celebrity Makeup Artist Kim Baker's Team Glamazon for NJ FASHION WEEK! It was such an awesome experience to not only do makeup for NJ Fashion Week, but to have been picked by very important people in this industry to be a part of it... ahhh priceless!</div><div><br />
</div><div>It was hard work, and exhausting all in itself, but I wouldnt have had it any other way. If you want to make it in this industry, YOU NEED TO WORK! Work from the ground up, slave, be someones assistant, do all the ground work before you can remotely see the top. I have been blessed, very blessed, and I cant thank God any more for the opportunities that have been thrown my way. </div><div><br />
</div><div>Here are just a few photos for you to check out what it was like!</div><div><br />
</div><div>(All these photos BELONG TO ME. You do not have permission to obtain, use, forward, etc. unless approved by myself!)</div><div><br />

</div><div>Backstage looks NOTHING like the runway... it's an absolute zoo! It's organized chaos with occasional <i>unorganized chaos</i> - but worth it in every way! In the photos with women and men dressed in black we were the elite team under Celebrity Makeup Artist Kim Baker for Team Glamazon. </div><div><br />
</div><div>I had the opportunity and privilege of meeting Kim G. of the New Jersey Housewives, Miguel from Jerseylicious (whom I had a lovely conversation with about his career in makeup and hair, I absolutely adore that man!), Donnella Tillery (Founder of NJ Fashion Week), Miss Teen America 2011 Katarina Kneer, and most of the designers of the clothing for the runway show. </div><div><br />
</div><div>I have also been privileged to work with Designer Darius Gibbs, as I touched up his makeup right before his runway show. He also personally invited me to work with him at 2 of his fashion shows in upcoming weeks!</div><div><br />
</div><div>This is where I've been for part of my week off from you guys!</div><div><br />
</div><div>I hope you all understand that my career is taking off rapidly and sometimes by surprise so if I am gone for a few days I sincerely apologize!</div><div><br />
</div><div>Cant wait to catch up on your blogs and see whats going on!</div><div><br />
</div><div>XO!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KR8Xmv8Xt8/TWjCXbNf11I/AAAAAAAAARc/spMUYvvpSdo/s1600/signature1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KR8Xmv8Xt8/TWjCXbNf11I/AAAAAAAAARc/spMUYvvpSdo/s1600/signature1.png" /></a></div><div><br />

<br />
My name is LC and I am a blushaholic! No, seriously.<br />
<br />
This post is dedicated to my girl <b>Nora</b> over at <a href="http://www.botoxey.com/"><b>Botoxey</b></a>.<br />
<br />
I have like a zillion blushers and I DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, leave the house without wearing it! As a child I was not allowed to wear makeup, or even play with makeup. My family was quite strict about it and it sucked! All my friends had lip glosses, and cute purses to carry all their "makeup" in and well I had nothing!! BOOOOO! :: thumbs down :: haha! The one thing that I would do religiously is smack my cheeks really hard so it would give me a blushed look. Sounds nuts right? Back then, I totally thought it was a genius idea! After a while, my cheeks stopped hurting from doing it so much! hahaha I sound like such a freak right now!<br />
<br />
Anywho... I swatched a few of my MAC Blushes - I absolutely LOVE these! I just purchased two of them in the bunch and I am already in love! The 2 new ones are Equilibrium and Gingerly.<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The photos really speak for the blushes as far the color is concerned. Very spot on.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>GINGERLY</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">is a darker peachy color. It has a pinkish brownish undertone when comparing it to Peaches. If you are fair skinned, dont be afraid.. you can totally rock this as a contour or apply it lightly to your cheeks to give them definition. I am an NC30 and I am not too light, but nor am I dark/too dark. I am directly in the middle. This works well with my skin tone and I do love the versatility of it. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>DOLLYMIX</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">is your typical rosey cheek color. I have been using this blush for <i>yearrrrrrrssss</i>. I have not one thing bad to say about it. I love it because <i>clearly</i> I love rosey cheeks, but also because it works great year round for me. You can apply it lightly for a subtle blushed look or really smack it on for the evening or night out on the town blushed look. It also has a sparkly shimmer tint to it. It's not matte at all.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>PEACHES</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><i>totally</i> lives up to its name. It's a very peach pigmented blush. It was perfect for this summer as peaches/corals were totally in, and it will be perfect for this fall/winter. There isnt much versatility with this color though. It applies PEACH and remains PEACH. There isnt really a way to apply it lightly as it's very pigmented. I suppose you can just dab alittle and blend for a super super subtle look, but I cant promise it will look as good. You can look as though you arent wearing anything at all. Regardless, I LOVE this blush and do recommend for any skin tone!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>PINK SWOON</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">is a baby pink frosty color. It can be applied sheer or built up to it's max baby pink color. I loved this blush for most of this year since I purchased it. Before my Peaches madness this was my go-to. It's a playful sassy color. Absolutely perfect for all skin tones! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>EQUILIBRIUM</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I just purchased this a few days ago. I havent had the opportunity to wear it out.. only in my home when I was testing it out - thus far, it's an awesome color to be worn alone or with a pink/coral over it. The best way for me to describe it is, it's a naked blush. Gives your cheeks definition and character when worn alone. If you top it off with a pink or coral color it will give the colored blush a pop and make your cheeks stand out. For the fair skinned, I think you'd love it!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hope this helped some of you or all of you in your search for some new blushers!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Any questions? You know how to find me!!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">XO!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KR8Xmv8Xt8/TWjCXbNf11I/AAAAAAAAARc/spMUYvvpSdo/s1600/signature1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KR8Xmv8Xt8/TWjCXbNf11I/AAAAAAAAARc/spMUYvvpSdo/s1600/signature1.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

<br />
Time for September Favs!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-D8bhMWxTZTI/TolU-fm3NyI/AAAAAAAABNw/XCBtLgHGR1M/s1600/SeptemberFavs.png" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="619" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-D8bhMWxTZTI/TolU-fm3NyI/AAAAAAAABNw/XCBtLgHGR1M/s640/SeptemberFavs.png" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><b>MAC Lip Conditioner</b></div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">This is a lip hydrant. Its very creamy and doesnt have a strong taste! I keep this in my makeup bag and is a go-to when I'm on the go!</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><b>CHAPSTICK</b> <b>in Medicated</b></div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">It's that time of year! Ugh.. it's bad enough my face is dry, but my lips too! THE WORST! This is my go-to if I ever bite my lips or if my lips get red from licking them so much. I lick my lips like <i>crazy! </i>Licking your lips + cold weather = <i>no bueno!</i> But this particular chapstick relieves the problem! LOVE IT!</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><i><br />
</i></div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><b>MABELLINE FIT ME FOUNDATION</b></div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">I gave you a quick review of this foundation already.. I used this almost 3 out of the 4 weeks of the month. It kept my face super hydrated. Love it!</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><b>MAC Cremesheen in Creme Cup</b></div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">I've talked about this before as well... just a fun baby pink color, kinda sheer but buildable. Has been my go-to for most of the month as well!</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><b>MAC Eyeshadow in ERA</b></div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">I LOVE THIS COLOR! It's a taupey color, and very true to my skin, well eyelids. haha - I use it as a base after I apply my eyeshadow primer. It's always great to apply a base color that is dry after you apply wet eyeshadow primer. It helps set the primer and helps with blending other colors you apply. OR you can use it alone, as I have used it alone to do simple pin-up looks!</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><b>MAC 217 Blending Brush</b></div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">This brush is a few years old. As you can see the numbers have faded, substantially. BUT I have taken very well care of it and I hope to have it for years and years to come! I typically use this to apply my MAC ERA, or to blend my taupey colors. Just an awesome brush - pricey, but worth every penny!</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">I didnt have many "FAVs" this month as I purchased alot of my new products in the middle and end of the month... next month should be pretty sweet though!</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">Until then... cant wait to hear about your September Favs!!</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">XO!</div><br />

<br />
I have had quite a few people ask me what foundation I use, how do I get this "flawless face", etc. Although with taking very much care of my skin, I do use some awesome foundations and I wanted to share with you all which ones!<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RzGi9zZOXpI/ToFHZXWbVnI/AAAAAAAABL0/6B4eu-2W3vY/s1600/foundationreview.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RzGi9zZOXpI/ToFHZXWbVnI/AAAAAAAABL0/6B4eu-2W3vY/s400/foundationreview.png" width="280" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><ul><li style="text-align: left;">Maybelline FIT ME in 230</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">MAC Studio Sculpt in NC30</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">Revlon PhotoReady in 008 Golden Beige</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich in Warm Natural 4.5</li>
</ul></td></tr>
</tbody></table><div>I have been using these foundations for quite a few months, some of them even years! All these are medium-full coverage, and buildable! </div><div><br />
</div><div>My sister recently told me "You always go for that Kim Kardashian face." I wasn't sure how to take that considering she's very opinionated and forward with her words, but I love Kim so who cares! Kim conceals EVERYTHING. And SO DO I. I dont need full coverage foundation, but I love wearing it. It gives an amazing finish to my face and I absolutely LOVE it!</div><div><br />
</div><div><b>Maybelline FIT ME </b>Foundation is an AWESOME drug store brand foundation. Legit, for like $6-$7 dollars you are getting a bang for your buck! I LOVE this foundation and actually just purchased my second bottle as during the summer I was a tad darker so for the winter I need a lighter color! This foundation is like medium coverage and is very moisturizing. I have dry skin, it used to be VERY dry, although I have taken great care of it it's only dry once in a while. Still, I need to use moisturizing foundations and this is one! It's easy to blend, easy to build, and SUPER easy to match to your skin!</div><div><br />
</div><div><b>MAC Studio Sculpt</b> is a thick matte foundation. It is a foundation you need to work with. Not your typical foundation where you can just add some to your face blend and go. For a newbie, this may not be a good start. I have been using this on and off (because I like to switch up my foundations depending where I am going or doing) for about 2 years now. It is a full coverage foundation and somehow still very buildable. This foundation will leave you unbelievably flawless looking!! A little bit goes a long way, and if you work it in to your skin the right way, you will fall in love!</div><div><br />
</div><div><b>Revlon PhotoReady</b> Foundation is actually quite new to me. A few months ago I purchased it, tried it at home, and took it back. I couldnt stand it! Just a few weeks ago I purchased it again. I didnt put it in any of my hauls because I was REALLY unsure of it. I just purchased it again to REALLY give it a go. If I liked it I would blab about it, and if not, I was seriously going to write to Revlon lol. I sound like a maniac saying that! Haha This time I wore it under different weather conditions, wore it in photos, and I really like it! It matches my skin tone perfectly, which is a super plus! It is very matte and also medium-full coverage. I love the pump action it's got, too! I am enjoying it for now, although still unsure if I'll repurchase in the future. So far so good though!</div><div><br />
</div><div><b>Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich </b>Foundation is a medium-full coverage foundation. It is matte. This is typically my go-to foundation. For the type of coverage it is, it's very light weight. Unlike the Studio Sculpt, it's super silky and thin. It blends amazing into the skin and leaves room for added coverage! I love this foundation for sure!</div><div><br />
</div><div>I recently got a sample of 2 Chanel foundations that I am honestly in LOVEEEEE with! It forthcoming days I will purchase one of them and give my feedback on both. </div><div><br />
</div><div>What foundations or even tinted moisturizers are you guys loving? </div><div><br />
</div><div><b>Tip</b>: You can create your own tinted moisturizer by mixing lotion and your foundation together. Try it out, tell me what you think!</div><div><br />

<br />
I have struck again! I picked up a few things that I needed and well, of course, wanted!<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4o34mHJ3tRA/Tnk7rm9WZUI/AAAAAAAABKk/9yi9QOvcCOM/s1600/HAULSEPT.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="192" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4o34mHJ3tRA/Tnk7rm9WZUI/AAAAAAAABKk/9yi9QOvcCOM/s400/HAULSEPT.png" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><ul><li style="text-align: left;">EOS Lip Balm in Sweet Mint</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">EOS Lip Balm in Lemon Drop</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">Nail File from Sallys</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">Allure & Vogue Magazines (subscriptions)</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">Urban Decay All Nighter Spray</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">Zoe Thermal Pouch</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">Urban Outfitters Shirt: Leopard Cross</li>
</ul></td></tr>
</tbody></table><div>There is a photo at the bottom left of my blog home page.. it's of a girl wearing a white t-shirt with a leopard cross on it. I found that photo a few months ago and almost fell off my chair! I NEEDED IT! I searched for it immediately and didnt find anything. Just a few days ago I decided to search for it again and it came up on Urban Outfitters website.. BOY WAS I THRILLED! It was also on sale for $14.99, so you KNOW I was on that! I purchased it and it finally came in today!! AHHH It's HUGE, haha, the size was a "one size." Therefore, it's ginormous, but I dont care! I am thinking of taking it to my tailor and hope she can do something with it, OR I'll just rock it big the way it is, with some leggings and a belt! Oh -& stilettos, of course!</div><div><br />
</div><div>The other important purchase of this all is the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. I have heard raves about this for MONTHS now.. My girl Cheryl @ <b><a href="http://cherylsbeautyblog.blogspot.com/">Cheryls Beauty Blog</a> </b>posted about it recently and I just had to finally purchase it. She really knows her stuff. I cant wait to try it!!</div><div><br />
</div><div>The Zoe Thermal Pouch is for my hair straightener when I am on the go! This weekend, as some of you know, I went on a mini vacay to visit my girlfriend and her husband in Upstate New York.. I didnt have any way to store my hair straightener after I straightened my hair. It was actually still hot as I was ready to leave my house so I had to take it as it was and let it sit in the car. Had I had this Thermal Pouch, I would have been all set from the get go. Boo on me for purchasing it too late! BUT, I will have it for the futureeeeee!!</div><div><br />
</div><div>I am still very unsure if I like those EOS Lip Balm thingymajigs.. They taste kinda funny and we all know how I am about lippies that have funky tastes to them. The Lemon Drop one isnt so bad, and the Sweet Mint is OK. I need to keep wearing them to get used to them I guess!</div><div><br />
</div><div>I got those Nail Art Wheels too! I have been meaning to buy those for a while now and kept forgetting. When I stopped in Sallys I saw them and immediately remembered lol - I wanted those for blogging and for my own reference when I want to pick out a nail color! Definitely needed them for blogging too, because I dont want to always have to remove my nail polish to demo a nail color for you all. Having that really makes it easier for me!! Amen for chochkey gadgets like that!</div><div><br />
</div><div>So what I really went shopping for is a new blow dryer.. can you believe that after like 8 years my blow dryer died this weekend! That beast just stopped working on me! HOW DARE IT! I have had that thing since the beginning of time, ok not really, but you know I over exaggerate! haha! Here's what it looked like before it called it quits on me...(the black one pictured below)</div><div><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JtNoOfIG1Gw/Tnk_sEhDKtI/AAAAAAAABKo/XKghPdL4Kgw/s1600/hairdryers.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="271" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JtNoOfIG1Gw/Tnk_sEhDKtI/AAAAAAAABKo/XKghPdL4Kgw/s400/hairdryers.png" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The blow dryer to the left is my super super duper old one... lol it's like ancient, but I kept it after it started to go bad on me as a back up dryer... Then I had purchased the BabyLiss Pro (to the right) and it was my magic wand for the last almost 10 years! I lost the cap to the front so I stole it from the blow dryer to the left and taped it together, and I broke the back part that holds all the lint so it's been used that way for a while (the dryer fell). I mean, this thing took beatings and bangs and even got wet a few times - this thing was bound to stop working any day, but I definitely wasnt expecting it to be this weekend. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Anywho, it gave me a reason to buy this badboy!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OjAu4dOHBjI/TnlAuQW1P1I/AAAAAAAABKs/1UMwYGdh8hA/s1600/newdryer.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OjAu4dOHBjI/TnlAuQW1P1I/AAAAAAAABKs/1UMwYGdh8hA/s640/newdryer.png" width="340" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This thing is NO JOKE! I needed a 2000 Watt dryer. I just love the speed and heat of it. The 1875 Watt dryers really dont work for my hair. Which is why I actually never purchased another dryer other than my Professional BabyLiss Pro, because I just didnt think something would be able to match how amazing it worked for my hair... BUT THIS THING... AHHHHHHHHHHHHH ::angels singing::</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I got it on sale for $79.95 from $119.95 @ Ulta. Click <b><a href="http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?skuId=2099391&productId=xlsImpprod3540311&navAction=push&navCount=1&subdoc=128hairstylingwk2209&categoryId=cat120072">HERE</a> </b>for the link to the site. Well worth the money!!! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">That's all my new junk!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I have some EXTRA BUCKS to spend at CVS, have any of you purchased any drug store goodies that I can go there and purchase too?? Do tell, do tell!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">XO!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KR8Xmv8Xt8/TWjCXbNf11I/AAAAAAAAARc/spMUYvvpSdo/s1600/signature1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KR8Xmv8Xt8/TWjCXbNf11I/AAAAAAAAARc/spMUYvvpSdo/s1600/signature1.png" /></a></div>LANEYhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13710109040111174782noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8202921356563338502.post-5135188661398672792011-09-15T00:52:00.003-04:002011-09-15T00:54:12.994-04:00NFP STUDIO FASHION SHOW IN NYC! (PIC HEAVY)Hey hey heyyyy lovelies!!!<br />
<br />
Guess who was backstage doing makeup @ the NFP STUDIO Fashion Show in NYC todayyyyyyyyy!!? ME ME ME!!!<br />
<br />
I was contacted to head into the city to do makeup for Gail Travis' clothing line, New Form Perspective. PLEASE CHECK OUT HER WEBSITE, it's critically geniune and pure, while showcasing comfort and individuality! Website: <b><a href="http://nfpstudio.com/">NFP STUDIO</a> </b>Twitter: NFPSTUDIO.<br />
<br />
I had the amazing opportunity to work with a top designer who has worked with Vera Wang, Calvin Klein, and Shelly Steffee. Gail is absolutely pure and such a beautiful woman! Meeting her for the first time, I fell inlove!<br />
<br />
I'm infatuated with her clothes... no really, I AM! If you read my post on what my Fall Look is, and view her website, you'll totally catch my drift! Go check and see what I mean!<br />
<br />
Or... I'll just show you! (These photos are credited to the NFPSTUDIO.COM website)<br />

<br />
Quick nail of the day for ya! Actually, nail of the week as my nails have been painted for a few days now and probably will last for another few more days!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-U8CKsEqNoLM/TnA1nnmDu2I/AAAAAAAAAsI/pk-UiSe6SmI/s1600/ESSIEMAMBA.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-U8CKsEqNoLM/TnA1nnmDu2I/AAAAAAAAAsI/pk-UiSe6SmI/s640/ESSIEMAMBA.png" width="362" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I love Essie nail polishes! They are long lasting, most are super pigmented, and their color selection is great! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This color is a pinky nude color. It actually blends in with my skin really well! Haha I guess I have a pinky nude skin color because sometimes when I look down I can hardly tell I'm wearing any polish color! So far I've been wearing this color since Sunday morning around 11:30am. It has not chipped or faded shine. I just love it!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">What Essie nail polishes have you picked up recently? You know me, I am always up for a shopping trip!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">_______________________________________________________</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I also wanted to ask you a question and state something!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">1. I want to change my blogspot name. Have any of you actually changed your domain name? Like, I am MIXEDWITHLOVE.BLOGSPOT.COM - I want to change the MIXEDWITHLOVE part to something else, but I am scared I am going to lose my followers or my data that I have worked on so hard this year. There is an option to do so in the SETTINGS part of Blogger, but I am hesitant. If you have changed your blogspot name, tell me about your experience!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">2. My GIVEAWAY ends soon, so get on that bandwagon for a chance to win some cool stuff!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">XO!</div><br />

<br />
I purchased my very first E.L.F Eyeshadow Quad and E.L.F eyeshadows! *gasp!* Can you believeeeee I didnt own any before this!? *it's okay, you can smack me!*<br />
<br />
I have a Target about 3.9569475698456 minutes from my house and mind you, I DO venture there every couple days! I really dont get how someone can shop every single day of their lives - I do keep asking myself that question, but the <i>guilty pleasure, shopaholics anonymous, problem spending</i> side of me refuses to answer. I WILL have to file for bankruptcy one day, or maybe I'll be able to sell everything and get my money back? Or, maybe I am just talking like a moron and should enjoy all the crap I buy and shut up! I'llllll take Option 3 please, with a Tall Double Chocolate Chip from Starbucks, THANKS!<br />
<br />
No, really... these eyeshadows ROCK! I own just about everything else from E.L.F, but I havent read many reviews on their eyeshadows nor have I even attempted to purchase and review them myself - so finally purchasing them, excited me!<br />
<br />
The color range at Target is not excessive. I purchased every single one they had except for 3. I cant tell you the names of the ones I didnt purchase but I do remember one was a sparkly black, and the other two were highlight colors. I wasnt really intrigued by either due to the fact that I own about 7 "sparkly black" colors and about 15 highlight colors. I dont use them often and didnt want to buy anymore either.<br />
<br />
Here are some swatches from individual eyeshadows I purchased!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VYa1ERgvVWo/Tm6qPFBDn6I/AAAAAAAAAro/edzpPIUAy8U/s1600/elfquad4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="193" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VYa1ERgvVWo/Tm6qPFBDn6I/AAAAAAAAAro/edzpPIUAy8U/s400/elfquad4.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">They are SUPER pigmented! When I swatched these I dipped my finger once, and swiped and this is the color it gave me. They are smooth too, which is a plus for me. I'm not really keen on chalky eyeshadows. Honestly, some MAC Eyeshadows are chalky, and I cant stand them! :/</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I <i>LOVE</i> these colors.. makes me super ready for fall! Each eyeshadow cost $1.00. I just love how inexpensive they are and really good quality! I havent used them yet, so I am not sure how they are going to withstand, or if there is excess fallout, but once I do, I'll definitely do a post on it!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">_____________________________________________________</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Along with these eyeshadows, I purchased the E.L.F Eyeshadow Quad to store these individual eyeshadows. They only store 4 eyeshadows and since I am used to my MAC Palettes where I store about 20 eyeshadows in one case, I figured I'd try and do the same with this little palette. I made an attempt and it worked out pretty well!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Here's what I did!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--JibyL8Ej58/Tm6wZx_WJlI/AAAAAAAAAsA/kvrFIxhq_Tg/s1600/elfquad201.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--JibyL8Ej58/Tm6wZx_WJlI/AAAAAAAAAsA/kvrFIxhq_Tg/s320/elfquad201.png" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I removed the inside eyeshadow placement holder thingy-ma-jig. (I used a Makeup Spatula - I received the infamous spatula when I attended the Makeup Academy, but it serves for other purposes as well, AS YOU CAN SEE, haha) You see it clearly can hold 4 eyeshadows perfectly, but I somehow felt that wasn't good enough. Go figure!</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-V2kz7QgIa9w/Tm6wed-i2RI/AAAAAAAAAsE/JEWtrnqdqPE/s1600/elfquad202.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-V2kz7QgIa9w/Tm6wed-i2RI/AAAAAAAAAsE/JEWtrnqdqPE/s320/elfquad202.png" width="268" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">By removing the "thingy-ma-jig" I was able to fit one more eyeshadow! Hey, whatever works, right? I would have had one lose eyeshadow hanging around if I didnt remove the insert inside. It was so simple to remove and even went back in after I removed it. In future when I collect more, if I decide to keep 4 eyeshadows in each quad, I can just put it back in! 1 Brownie Point for consolidation skills!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Have any of you done this before? Or have other tips for me!? </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">XO!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KR8Xmv8Xt8/TWjCXbNf11I/AAAAAAAAARc/spMUYvvpSdo/s1600/signature1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KR8Xmv8Xt8/TWjCXbNf11I/AAAAAAAAARc/spMUYvvpSdo/s1600/signature1.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

<br />
I was chatting with Jenn @ <a href="http://www.imperfection-isbeauty.com/">Jenn's Beauty Confessions</a> about my spice rack full of nail polishes! She was intrigued so I dedicate this post to her!<br />
<br />
I've never been a nail polish person.. for the longest time, I'm tawkin' 10 years, I have used the color SUGAR DADDY by ESSIE. That was the extent of "color" I'd put on my nails. I worked in the corporate world for a long time and having exotic nails or looks just wasnt in the proper attire for the company I worked for. I kept it simple and classic for far too long!<br />
<br />
Since I started blogging, I realized alot about myself and one was to never be afraid to be me! I love how I can sit here and say that "I am not afraid to be me!" Thank you Blog World and Friends!<br />
<br />
How can nail polish express who you are? IN EVERY SINGLE WAY! Are you kidding? I follow Chelsea @ <a href="http://nailpolishepicness.blogspot.com/">Nail Polish Epicness</a> and boy can she express herself! She does an AMAZING job at nail art and finding the best nail polish colors! I love reading her posts and checking out her photos, I cant and probably will never be as good as her, but I'll continue to follow and pray I gain some of her power! Haha!<br />
<br />
So anywho, boy do I ramble...<br />
<br />
I have started a "nail polish collection" and have gained a new appreciation for nail polish and wanted to show you my little bundles (of nail polish) I purchased!<br />
<br />

Hope you enjoyed!<br />

Birthday Pics and stuff!Hey babes!<br />
<br />
Just wanted to first say my GIVEAWAY ends in just a few days! Get on that bandwagon for a chance to win some pretty cool stuff!!<br />
<br />
I know this post is long overdue! My 25th Birthday Celebration took place on September 3rd, as on August 27th Hurricane Irene decided to make an appearance and ruined all plans we had!<br />
<br />
Here are some pics!!<br />

</tbody></table><div>My birthday was FANTASTIC! I had such an amazing time with friends and family I wish I could have my birthday every day!</div><div><br />
</div><div>As you can see I switched up my outfit. I originally planned to wear an Armani Exchange dress I purchased, although the day of I realized I needed to wear a tank top underneath because the top was too revealing and I didnt have an appropriate tank to put on (color and length wise) so I had to opt for something else as back up. My tubetop romper type outfit is from Guess. Super comfy and it's black so matched well with everything else! I also was going to have my hair done professionally, but due to the in-climate weather we'd been having I decided to do my own hair because I knew the weather would have ruined it! AS it did, because it was super cute and curly and because of the humidity, it ended up half straight, half medusa style! Yes, MEDUSA!</div><div><br />
</div><div>I also was going to paint my nails all cute and I never did! How lame! :( We had the reschedule the party last minute and move everything around, on top of a hectic week - I just painted them a confetti sparkly color. Nothing too special.</div><div><br />
</div><div>As you can see I got TWO cakes!!! I was soooooo happy!! One cake has my real name which you now know is Elaine. (ELAINE also plays a role in my makeup company name as Ella Lane is Elaine) ;) And the other has my nickname which is Laney. I always sign my signature as LC, because everyone does call me Laney and Couture is just a tag I've had for about 3 years now. Laney Couture is LC. :)</div><div><br />
</div><div>I miss you all, and being away for 5 days made me sad! I was working this week with Mary Kay, Seventeen Magazine, and Cosmopolitan Magazine, as some of you may know! It was for Mary Kay's Fall Into Your Beauty Tour. I was chosen as a Makeup Artist for two events they were hosting at two universities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania! I had such an amazing time doing makeup and meeting new people! I'll have some pics for you on my next post! The staff @ Mary Kay, Seventeen, and Cosmo were such a delight! I definitely look forward to working with them in the future!</div><div><br />
</div><div>How are you all doing?! Cant wait to catch up on your posts and see how everything is going!!</div><div><br />
</div><div>Thanks for all the birthday wishes too!!!</div><div><br />

<br />
Hey Babes!<br />
<br />
Looks I'm loving for this fall are driving me insane! I have looks from the super casual to all out crazy haha! I am typically a comfortable dresser! If I am not going out for a cocktail, or heading out to meet with friends in the City - I am casual and sassy! Nothing beats a comfortable pair of jeans and flats and a long sleeve! On a sexier level, I adore skirts, dresses, stilettos, and statement piece jewelry.<br />
<br />
I do love to shop EVERYWHERE! I really will walk into a store and walk out with something, anything! I cant deny, I love Saks, Neiman, Bloomingdales, but I really love Forever21, Garage, Express.. even TARGET! Yep, I will walk right in there and buy shorts, shirts, scarves, anything that catches my eye! I dont discriminate with clothing.. if it's good quality, regardless of where it's from or how much it costs, I am buying it!<br />
<br />
I have some pics from celebs in past years and this year. Style to me isnt just "whats new." It's what you can create from things in your closet in past years to create the "new" look of this year. Dont get me wrong, I love the runway trends and I love buying new things, but lets be real here.. the average Jane, cant spend thousands of dollars every single day to look like their favorite celeb. CLEARLY, there are dupes for everything, sometimes even in your closet you can throw together - which makes the whole new look for the season worth looking at, researching, and concocting! <i>That's</i> what fashion means to me! What does it mean to you?<br />
<br />

I loveee all of these looks! I know they are so simple, but thats what's so perfect about them! These looks are definitely mine for this Fall. I really plan to keep it simple and classy and comfortable!<br />
<br />
I am a jewelry junkie, and there is jewelry on my body that I keep on all times and never remove.. 3 rings, 6 bracelets, a necklace, and 3 sets of earrings (I have 3 holes in each ear), and 2 belly button piercings - so with that, I add more or replace one or two with something different! My hubby loves when I wear tons of bracelets, so typically I just add on a bunch more! You can never go wrong with too much jewelry!! (ie. Maybe because I am Jersey Girl.. I just reread that and realized I sound like my girls from Jerseylicious haha!)<br />
<br />
Keep in mind this is just for the every day lifestyle of my life. I will do another post on my nightlife style! Hubby and I go out into the City for drinks or go to dinner with friends often and my style is quite different then pictured above.<br />
<br />
I really want to know what you are loving too! I am always up for new looks and if I have missed something, I want to know about it!! Tell me, tell me, tell me!<br />
<br />

Hey babes!<br />
<br />
How on earth is it September already? Where has the time gone? You know, this year was the first year since I was a little kid that I started to like Summer! I just couldn't stand the extreme heat and mosquitos that come along with the territory, <i>but</i><b style="font-style: italic;"> </b>this year I was really enjoying my Summer. I got a few bites, and a really good tan, what else could I have asked for! Oh! And the heat wasnt so bad! Actually, it was very tolerable and I think it only reached over a hundred like 2-3 times! Well, I'm saying goodbye to Summer and my 25th birthday of course! I am looking forward to Fall and my new business adventures along with expanding my hubby's business. And I, without a doubt, can not wait to wear fabulous jeans, jackets, and sweaters - Pumpkin picking, Thanksgiving, and Christmas in our new home, COUNT ME IN 4th quarter of 2011!<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><u style="font-weight: bold;">Naked Palett</u><span style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">e</span>: I absolutely love this palette! Believe the hype people, it's true! This palette is extremely pigmented and literally wearable for day and night or even converted from day to night. I jumped over rivers, moved canyons, and pushed a few buildings to buy this thing, but I finally got it a few months ago and I dont regret the cost! Haha - for real it's $48! <i>but, </i>worth every penny!<br />
<br />
<u style="font-weight: bold;">MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Natural in Dark</u>: I typically use this same MSF Natural but in Medium Deep - that's my go-to. <i>But</i> this month I decided to go alittle darker in color and use it as an all over bronzer and powder to seal my foundation <i>and</i> it's fab! I absolutely adore the color, and it gives me a perfect bronze. I am typically light-medium skin-toned so as Summer is ending I needed a pick me up, and <i>this</i> is sure it!<br />
<br />
<u style="font-weight: bold;">MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack</u>: This is a gel liner. I have been using it for a few months now and just as their website says it is "foolproof." It goes on smooth and pigmented and really stays on all day.. I'm talkin' a 12 hour day with out a smudge.<br />
<br />
<u style="font-weight: bold;">Behind The Scenes Eye Primer by Lorac</u>: SURPRISE! It's not the Urban Decay Primer Potion! I bet you're about to fall off your chair! So, I really am going to say this and I hope you dont hate me for it... but I DO NOT, I repeat, <u style="font-weight: bold;">DO NOT</u> like that eye primer! Lorac's eye primer is so smooth and creamy, it's a beige color but goes on and really blends to your skin tone. I feel like UD's Eye Primer is watery and sticky and ugh... just not a fan! I'm sorry UD Primer Potion lovers, please forgive me! Go get a sample of this eye primer and tell me which one you like!<br />
<br />
<u style="font-weight: bold;">Chanel Pro Lumiere Foundation</u>: I received a few samples of this foundation from Nordstrom this month and I was testing it out to really see if I'd like it.. and I <i style="font-weight: bold;">love</i> it! I am actually waiting to get back to my normal skin-tone for winter to purchase the bottle. Right now I am the color 086 SAND, but I'll definitely be lighter then that by the end of this month. I'd hate to spend the $54 to have to mix it with a lighter color come that time. Mixing is so tedious! I dont mind it on my clients but on myself, boy is it a pain! Anywho, this foundation is awesome. It's a medium to full coverage foundation (buildable), extremely hydrating (awesome for me because I have dry skin), and long lasting! Go grab a sample, afterall, it <i>is</i> free!<br />
<br />
<u style="font-weight: bold;">E.L.F Blush in Candid Coral</u>: Super cute blush! I love it because it's sheer and has a baby coral color tint to it. E.L.F Blushes are such a bargain and really do the trick! $3 and long lasting cheek shine... I cant resist that! Can you?<br />
<br />
<b style="text-decoration: underline;">DiorShow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum</b>: Say that 10x fast! Sheesh! I purchased this a few weeks ago at my girlfriends Dior Event. She's a Dior Makeup Artist and Manager and was hosting an event at Nordstrom. This was one of the few things I purchased and I am really upset I hadnt purchased it sooner! This thing WORKS! It makes my lashes super super long and thick! I have a girlfriend who swears by this too! While we were attending the Makeup Academy together she wouldnt stop ranting about how awesome it was. I kept telling myself I was going to buy it and never did! WHAT WAS I THINKING! Note: This goes on white, WHITE, haha, so you WILL need to use a dark mascara to go over it.. which is where my next Fav comes in!<br />
<br />
<b style="text-decoration: underline;">DiorShow Black Out</b>: I also purchased this at my girlfriends event. I used to use the regular DiorShow by Dior mascara.. <i>religiously!</i> I swore by it because of it's brush! Then I went ahead and found dupes for it so I dropped it! I still absolutely love that one and all my dupes for it, but I wanted to try something new! This mascara takes the cake and will for a while! The brush is different.. it's just as big as the regular DiorShow one but the spikes on the brush are spaced out differently and spiral. You guys know I am absolutely TERRIBLE at describing things so if you have questions or want a review or more info, I'll make a post on it, just request it! So yeah, I put this badboy over my DiorShow Maximizer for a full volume and length effect and boy it does wonders!<br />
<br />
If you want any additional info on these, just ask and I'll do a post on it!<br />
<br />

</div>Oh! &- Due to Hurricane Irene, my birthday celebration was cancelled this past Saturday. It has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 3rd! Hopefully there wont be another disaster as there was this past weekend. :/ By the way, I am okay, and so is my home. We lost power for about 24 hours and lost all the food in our fridge! Thats about it! Although at a family members house where I had stored some childhood boxes with videos and clothing and memorablia - well her basement got flooded to the top and ruined everything I had. She found all of my belongings floating in the water. All of my childhood sports videos and clothing was ruined. She DID keep it all for me to go through, although she lives 2 hours from me I havent had the chance to go back there and check it out. After I heard about it, my heart sank. Alot of my childhood was very difficult for me and I moved around alot. A big piece of my heart was in those boxes because I unfortunately do not have a childhood home or "room" to go back to. I kept everything in there for my kids and the family I will create someday. I guess natural disasters happen and I'm 100% sure other families experienced the same and worse. There was alot of devastation here in NJ that we have never experienced before and I do want the world to know that I am thinking of all of you who have experienced such a thing! It was nothing like Hurricane Katrina where thousands were dead or the Tsunami in Japan or every where else - but it was horrible and many people lost their homes. As I type this, I cry. Ugh! I'm sad, but I am happy I am alive and healthy and so is my home and family. My childhood memories will always live with me and I hope to salvage some of the things I held dear, so I can show my children one day. Thank you everyone for following me and showing so much love to me here. I appreciate you all and think of each of you every single day!<br />
<br />
My blog really is <b>MIXED WITH LOVE!</b><br />

<br />
<br />
Hey beauty babes!<br />
<br />
My little sister had a cheerleading pep rally the other day and as I was doing my makeup and getting ready for it, I decided to snap a few photos for you! I did a smokey look and I wanted to give you some in depth information regarding the "smokey eye."<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Do you know what a "smokey eye" is? </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For a long time I thought it just consisted of dark colors blended together to create a smokey effect. AND to a certain extent, I am right! Although, there are few other steps that solidify the smokey eye, that I never considered. As a Makeup Artist and living in New Jersey, my clients usually want this look. It's <i>the most</i> requested look I've ever had to create. I dont blame anyone for wanting to have it, it's a fabulous look that really accentuates the eyes and gives them a sassy seductive look! Yes, please!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">But, getting alittle more technical with the smokey eye look is where I want to take us today, because I want my readers to know just as much as me, so any info I can give you to be up to date, <i>I will!</i> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The smokey eye can be done with <i>any</i> color, not just dark colors! Whatever colors you decide to put together, make sure you place them in the correct areas and blend them all together! <i>Blend blend blend!</i> There's nothing more unnatural looking then eyeshadow swiped across your eyes without looking blended together. You'll end up looking like Mimi from The Drew Carey Show! NOT a good look!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Now the piece to the puzzle I never considered to be the "Smokey" in the Smokey Eye, is a drop shadow. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">What's a drop shadow, LC?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">A Drop Shadow is what you create when you place liner or eyeshadow on your lower lash line below your water line and smudge.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><ul><li>You can use a small blending brush to apply the eyeshadow, just remember to tap and smudge! Or by using eyeliner you can swipe it across the eye but use a blending brush to blend the eyeshadow to create a smoke effect. Just by placing a solid line of eyeliner in that area can make it look too harsh. Remember, we're going smokey not chunky!</li>
</ul><div><br />
</div><div>Here are a few pics I took for you so you can get the idea!</div><div><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qZ9SO70J9MA/Tlwv4NX91eI/AAAAAAAAAo4/XH5VzoUivt0/s1600/eyepic.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="107" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qZ9SO70J9MA/Tlwv4NX91eI/AAAAAAAAAo4/XH5VzoUivt0/s400/eyepic.png" width="400" /></a></div><br />
