Hey Dolls!

Time for September Favs!!

MAC Lip Conditioner
This is a lip hydrant. Its very creamy and doesnt have a strong taste! I keep this in my makeup bag and is a go-to when I'm on the go!

CHAPSTICK in Medicated
It's that time of year! Ugh.. it's bad enough my face is dry, but my lips too! THE WORST! This is my go-to if I ever bite my lips or if my lips get red from licking them so much. I lick my lips like crazy! Licking your lips + cold weather = no bueno! But this particular chapstick relieves the problem! LOVE IT!

MABELLINE FIT ME FOUNDATION
I gave you a quick review of this foundation already.. I used this almost 3 out of the 4 weeks of the month. It kept my face super hydrated. Love it!

MAC Cremesheen in Creme Cup
I've talked about this before as well... just a fun baby pink color, kinda sheer but buildable. Has been my go-to for most of the month as well!

MAC Eyeshadow in ERA
I LOVE THIS COLOR! It's a taupey color, and very true to my skin, well eyelids. haha - I use it as a base after I apply my eyeshadow primer. It's always great to apply a base color that is dry after you apply wet eyeshadow primer. It helps set the primer and helps with blending other colors you apply. OR you can use it alone, as I have used it alone to do simple pin-up looks!

MAC 217 Blending Brush
This brush is a few years old. As you can see the numbers have faded, substantially. BUT I have taken very well care of it and I hope to have it for years and years to come! I typically use this to apply my MAC ERA, or to blend my taupey colors. Just an awesome brush - pricey, but worth every penny!

I didnt have many "FAVs" this month as I purchased alot of my new products in the middle and end of the month... next month should be pretty sweet though!

Until then... cant wait to hear about your September Favs!!

XO!

DONT FORGET TO ENTER IN MY GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!!

Hey babes!

How on earth is it September already? Where has the time gone? You know, this year was the first year since I was a little kid that I started to like Summer! I just couldn't stand the extreme heat and mosquitos that come along with the territory, but this year I was really enjoying my Summer. I got a few bites, and a really good tan, what else could I have asked for! Oh! And the heat wasnt so bad! Actually, it was very tolerable and I think it only reached over a hundred like 2-3 times! Well, I'm saying goodbye to Summer and my 25th birthday of course! I am looking forward to Fall and my new business adventures along with expanding my hubby's business. And I, without a doubt, can not wait to wear fabulous jeans, jackets, and sweaters - Pumpkin picking, Thanksgiving, and Christmas in our new home, COUNT ME IN 4th quarter of 2011!

Naked Palette: I absolutely love this palette! Believe the hype people, it's true! This palette is extremely pigmented and literally wearable for day and night or even converted from day to night. I jumped over rivers, moved canyons, and pushed a few buildings to buy this thing, but I finally got it a few months ago and I dont regret the cost! Haha - for real it's $48! but, worth every penny!

MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Natural in Dark: I typically use this same MSF Natural but in Medium Deep - that's my go-to. But this month I decided to go alittle darker in color and use it as an all over bronzer and powder to seal my foundation and it's fab! I absolutely adore the color, and it gives me a perfect bronze. I am typically light-medium skin-toned so as Summer is ending I needed a pick me up, and this is sure it!

MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack: This is a gel liner. I have been using it for a few months now and just as their website says it is "foolproof." It goes on smooth and pigmented and really stays on all day.. I'm talkin' a 12 hour day with out a smudge.

Behind The Scenes Eye Primer by Lorac: SURPRISE! It's not the Urban Decay Primer Potion! I bet you're about to fall off your chair! So, I really am going to say this and I hope you dont hate me for it... but I DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT like that eye primer! Lorac's eye primer is so smooth and creamy, it's a beige color but goes on and really blends to your skin tone. I feel like UD's Eye Primer is watery and sticky and ugh... just not a fan! I'm sorry UD Primer Potion lovers, please forgive me! Go get a sample of this eye primer and tell me which one you like!

Chanel Pro Lumiere Foundation: I received a few samples of this foundation from Nordstrom this month and I was testing it out to really see if I'd like it.. and I love it! I am actually waiting to get back to my normal skin-tone for winter to purchase the bottle. Right now I am the color 086 SAND, but I'll definitely be lighter then that by the end of this month. I'd hate to spend the $54 to have to mix it with a lighter color come that time. Mixing is so tedious! I dont mind it on my clients but on myself, boy is it a pain! Anywho, this foundation is awesome. It's a medium to full coverage foundation (buildable), extremely hydrating (awesome for me because I have dry skin), and long lasting! Go grab a sample, afterall, it is free!

E.L.F Blush in Candid Coral: Super cute blush! I love it because it's sheer and has a baby coral color tint to it. E.L.F Blushes are such a bargain and really do the trick! $3 and long lasting cheek shine... I cant resist that! Can you?

DiorShow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum: Say that 10x fast! Sheesh! I purchased this a few weeks ago at my girlfriends Dior Event. She's a Dior Makeup Artist and Manager and was hosting an event at Nordstrom. This was one of the few things I purchased and I am really upset I hadnt purchased it sooner! This thing WORKS! It makes my lashes super super long and thick! I have a girlfriend who swears by this too! While we were attending the Makeup Academy together she wouldnt stop ranting about how awesome it was. I kept telling myself I was going to buy it and never did! WHAT WAS I THINKING! Note: This goes on white, WHITE, haha, so you WILL need to use a dark mascara to go over it.. which is where my next Fav comes in!

DiorShow Black Out: I also purchased this at my girlfriends event. I used to use the regular DiorShow by Dior mascara.. religiously! I swore by it because of it's brush! Then I went ahead and found dupes for it so I dropped it! I still absolutely love that one and all my dupes for it, but I wanted to try something new! This mascara takes the cake and will for a while! The brush is different.. it's just as big as the regular DiorShow one but the spikes on the brush are spaced out differently and spiral. You guys know I am absolutely TERRIBLE at describing things so if you have questions or want a review or more info, I'll make a post on it, just request it! So yeah, I put this badboy over my DiorShow Maximizer for a full volume and length effect and boy it does wonders!

If you want any additional info on these, just ask and I'll do a post on it!

____________________________________________________________

Oh! &- Due to Hurricane Irene, my birthday celebration was cancelled this past Saturday. It has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 3rd! Hopefully there wont be another disaster as there was this past weekend. :/ By the way, I am okay, and so is my home. We lost power for about 24 hours and lost all the food in our fridge! Thats about it! Although at a family members house where I had stored some childhood boxes with videos and clothing and memorablia - well her basement got flooded to the top and ruined everything I had. She found all of my belongings floating in the water. All of my childhood sports videos and clothing was ruined. She DID keep it all for me to go through, although she lives 2 hours from me I havent had the chance to go back there and check it out. After I heard about it, my heart sank. Alot of my childhood was very difficult for me and I moved around alot. A big piece of my heart was in those boxes because I unfortunately do not have a childhood home or "room" to go back to. I kept everything in there for my kids and the family I will create someday. I guess natural disasters happen and I'm 100% sure other families experienced the same and worse. There was alot of devastation here in NJ that we have never experienced before and I do want the world to know that I am thinking of all of you who have experienced such a thing! It was nothing like Hurricane Katrina where thousands were dead or the Tsunami in Japan or every where else - but it was horrible and many people lost their homes. As I type this, I cry. Ugh! I'm sad, but I am happy I am alive and healthy and so is my home and family. My childhood memories will always live with me and I hope to salvage some of the things I held dear, so I can show my children one day. Thank you everyone for following me and showing so much love to me here. I appreciate you all and think of each of you every single day!

My blog really is MIXED WITH LOVE!

August 2, 2011
Hey Babes!

Within the first week of every month I will be posting a favorites post for the previous month! I always find it helpful when I read other blogs and find out all the juicy gossip on what people are loving! I suppose you all will love it too!

Here are my July Favs!!

Left to right:
  • Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel formerly known as Bronze Universal
  • Revlon Lip Gloss in Pink Pop
  • Mac Satin Lipstick in Siss
  • Revlon Grow Luscious by Fabulash Mascara in Black
  • Benefit Cosmetics Erase Paste in Medium
  • Elf Cosmetics Flat Top Powder Brush
  • Sepora Brand Professional Blush Brush
Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Swatch
I have heard awesome reviews about this and I had to have it! After realizing there is no wrong way to use this product, I fell in love! How can you not? It's the perfect color to give you that bronze, sun kissed look! It is a mousse-like texture and very creamy! I have not had any breakouts from it! It blends perfectly! You can apply this after foundation or without foundation! A MUST BUY! USA Cost @ Macys is $48.00.

Top: Mac Satin Lipstick Siss
Bottom: Revlon Lip Gloss in Pink Pop
These two lip products are a match made in heaven! The Mac Satin Lipstick line is extraordinary! The lipstick just glides onto your lips and for me, always stays on so well! I haven't used a lipstick from them I didnt love! Siss is a nude color, satin finish and creamy. I am fair skinned so in the winter this may not look too good on me, but in the summer when I am tan it literally matches my skin tone and lip tone!

Revlon's Lip Gloss is not sticky and does not taste bad! If you have read my previous posts you know I hate bad tasting lip products! YUCK! But not this one! It doesnt taste like anything (which is a PLUS+!) and it's long lasting! I am a lip product licker-offer.. lol if that makes any sense! These two take me a while to lick off, and I absolutely LOVE that!

MAC SISS
MAC SISS & REVLON PINK POP TOGETHER

ELF COSMETICS FLAT TOP POWDER BRUSH

I LOVE THIS BRUSH! I USE IT FOR EVERYTHING!! I own several of them which I put to use for quite a few things! First, it's called a "POWDER BRUSH" but it can be used with wet products. I apply my foundation with this! It's dense, and soft, does not acquire alot of product AND DOES NOT SHED! Having been given all that information on how great this brush is... let's top it off with IT ONLY COSTS $3!! American dollars that is! I am not sure the cost in other countries, but it can not be much more then $3 bucks!! It's a brush from their Studio Line. Great line of cosmetics and brushes! You just cant go wrong! This brush can be used to apply foundation, blush, bronzer, and any other way you'd like with wet or dry products! Go buy it, I promise you wont regret it!

SEPHORA BRAND PROFESSIONAL BLUSH BRUSH

Another Fav! I use this for my blush and contouring. It's a synthetic angled brush that really applies my products evenly! It really doesnt grab too much product on it at once so it helps when applying your blush so you dont overdo it. You can really have control over the amount you wish to apply! It's costly at  about $32.00- But it's worth the money!! I used the Mac 129 Brush for a long long time! It would shed and would sometimes be very unforgiving. Now that's stashed away for other uses, while my Sephora brush is used and abused!

Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara in Black
This mascara BLEW ME AWAY! I did a post a few months ago on how I was trying to find a dupe for DiorShow Mascara, and I had finally came across Benefit BadGal Lash! Okay.. so I went from paying $24.50, to $19.00, to $7.99 AND this infamous $7.99 product helps my lashes grow... when the other two expensive products DID NOT! UHM BEAT THAT GOOD DEAL! I absolutely LOVE this mascara because it is literally THE SAME BRUSH as DIORSHOW -& BADGAL LASH! I compared them all side by side and tested the bristles! YUP, same ones! They even fit inside eachothers tubes! We all know what makes the mascara is the brush, lets be real here. The product inside, yes, can vary and sometimes even dry out quicker. Although, with these three, they compare in all those categories, THE SAME! - As far as lashes growing... I have been using this product for about 4 months now and I have seen a significant growth in my lashes and even thickness. I always used to joke on my posts how I have 10 lashes on each eye... I literally have like 25 lashes on each eye now. haha ok, not literally because I dont count them, but I am saying they have almost tripled in amount! I wont stop using this product, and I hope you all start! Let me know how you love it!

Benefit Erase Paste in Medium
This is a concealer made by Benefit Cosmetics. It is a peachy color. I use this under my eyes because any orangey, peachy color will assist in covering dark eye circles. I do not have dark dark circles, although I have alittle, so this peachy under eye concealer really covers it! I mean, covers it to the point that I even look in the mirror after I apply it and cant believe the cover! They only have 3 color shades. I have the middle color in Medium. I recommend this for anyone looking for that perfect under eye coverup! You dont need to use this with any thing on top either! Just seal it with some powder and you're ready to go!

There you have it lovers! If you have any questions you know how to find me!!
