Hey Beauty Babes!
I'm not one to change the color of my nails, ever! I just recently started to get out of my shell and typical routines with makeup and try different things. Why now? Well because I am near 25 and I feel that I have sheltered myself to the typical, the comfortable, the "normal". When I was younger, I was alot more out-going and open, but as the years passed and as I grew older, I started to keep to myself. Which brings me to here and now... I am just a quiet, simple, plain girl. I really want my old self again. Blogging has really helped me figure it out and I am so happy that I have started my journey and I have all of you to come along!
Sooo, now that I have drowned you with my journey, haha, I'd like to show you my nails!
I purchased, from Forever 21, Love & Beauty nail polish in the color Coral. How cute is it? As I mentioned I never change the color of my nails, they were always a color pink of some sort either with French or not. See just Plain Jane. But I purchased this on a whim and forced myself to try it!

Love & Beauty: Coral |
I love it! It went on super smooth, and think in color. One coat is enough, but I put two just to really solidify the color. I also put a top coat to add some shine. Top Coat is from Jordana.
Even though changing my nail color is super new and I was hesitant to do it, I willllllll be doing it again, and more then likely with another Love & Beauty nail polish! It cost me $2.80. Super cheap and really really really good quality. My favorite nail polish and color is from Essie called Sugar Daddy, and this nail polish is sitting right next to Sugar Daddy in the number one spot!
Are there any colors you think I should try from either Love & Beauty or another nail polish company? I'd love to have some help in buying more! I'm such a virgin!

Hey Dolls!
I have been using a Pond's Moisturizer for several years. I have really dry skin and it has really done the trick of helping keep my face moisturized throughout the day and night. Although, because they say some products eventually stop working as effectively if you use them for long periods of time, I decided to try a new moisturizer!
I picked up: Olay Complete: All day UV moisturizer with Vitamin E and Aloe for sensitive skin. I have Keratosis Pilaris (click on Keratosis Pilaris for additional info), so anything for sensitive skin, COUNT ME IN!
I have been using Olay for the past week and I don't like it at all!

It claims to:
Give your skin essential Olay moisture, UV protection and Vitamin E for a lifetime of beautiful skin.
- All day moisture for lasting hydration.
- Broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 15 sunscreen specifically designed for daily incidental sun exposure.
- Gentle formula with zinc oxide, antioxidant, Vitamin E and Aloe to promote skin's healthy appearance.
- Light, non-greasy formula for a barely-there feel.
Okay, so whats what it claims to do and it hasn't done anything for me, but make me feel like I didn't even moisturize. It didn't help my dryness, it added to it. After I would use the product, I'd proceed to put on my makeup and my make-up just felt pasted to my face, my face felt tough and bare, and flakey.
I was really disappointed in this because I've heard nothing but great things about Olay (my father swears by it) and it didn't do anything for me! I will not be repurchasing this product!
I'm back to using Pond's. I love ittt and probably wont stop using it!
Do you use any Olay moisturizers? How do they work for you?
XO!

Hey Beauty Babes!
Not too long ago I told you about the 88 Matte Palette that I purchased from BH Cosmetics. I just want to let you know I was not given this product from the company as a gift or for reviewing purposes. I purchased this product from my own personal money and have decided to do a review on it.

88 Matte Palette from BH Cosmetics (photo is with flash) |
This is the palette and it's pretty awesome. The palette is called 88 Matte Palette, which means they are not shimmery. Although, there a quite a few colors in this palette that are shimmery. It has pretty much any color you are looking for which makes the buy so much more worth it. I purchased it for $18.95 with a 15% off coupon code. I paid pretty much nothing for it and I've put it to good use.
I swatched a few random colors for you to get an idea of what I'm talking about. They are very pigmented, which in a way prolongs the usage of the palette because alittle goes a long way!
These eye shadows last all day longggg. Even through naps! I have been using this palette for about a week and a half and I'm really enjoying it! It was such an inexpensive buy for a ton of product that is going to last me, I know it!
I also want you to know... a company by the name of Coastal Scents also distributes this palette. What I have learned is a company has produced these eye shadows and sold them to other companies who put their name on it and sell it. They are the same product just with different companies' names on it.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!

Hey Dolls!
I can't wait til you see what I just purchased!! You're going to flip!
The hubby and I are planning on buying a house and since we've been looking I'm already planning on what I want to buy for my "makeup room." I just want a room designated to all my clothes, art, fashion, and MAKEUP! One thing that popped into my head was a dress form. For y'all who don't know what a dress form is, it's like a mannequin with just a torso (typically) mainly used for people who sew. Moving along, when I told the hubs, he was like "Really, a dress form? For what?" - I don't think he understood what I was really looking for til I found it!
This is exactly what I envisioned and to think I actually FOUND it! AHHHHHHHH!!!!

Dont you just love it?!
I wanted something like this so I could hang all my jewelry on it and hang vintage things on it like broaches and stuff. I dont know, maybe I'm thinking outside the box and I'm crazy, but I'm in love and I just can't wait til I acquire things to hang on it! It's going to be FAB! For now it's going to sit in the corner of our bedroom til we buy a house and it's real use with come to play!
Oh! And here's the kicker, I purchased it for $50.00!!!!!!!!!
_____________________________________________________
I also wanted to show you some things hubby and I made for our bedroom. We decided to take the cover of magazines that starred our favorite artists and frame them! So far we have 5 covers, with the exception of a Gaga photo we found that matched our decor in color. We hung them above our bed!
__________________________________________________
Another cute thing I own is this mirror! The framing around the mirror is crushed glass that someone molded together to make it look all shiny and glittery! It's above my jewelry stand and serves a great purpose! Loveee it!
____________________________________________________
This picture is in our bathroom. It just flows with the rest of our house, chic, classy, and boldly makes a statement. Yet another fave!
____________________________________________________
Saving the best for last... our fish tank! Hubby has been working really hard to get our salt water tank up and running successfully. He loves fish and has always wanted to have a salt water tank and house awesome looking fish! Here is a picture that I actually took about a half hour ago! I turned the lights on and they were all asleep (I woke some of them up). It looks kind of empty, but we really have about 11 crabs, 7 amazing fish, 1 really awesome looking shrimp and 15 teeny starfish that are growing every day (if you look to the left under the red box, which is the shadow of my tv, that white spec is a baby starfish!)! We plan to have tons more in the future, but it's difficult putting random fish in with each other as they will eat one another or get sick and die.
Hope you like some of my home!!!
Do you have any cool things in your home?!
XO!

Hey Dolls!
I went shopping. Ugh! Such a guilty pleasure! It's really my dad and my hubby's fault! If my father ever saw me upset about something, anything, he'd automatically hand me a $100.00 bill and tell me to go buy myself something! He says when he was younger my grandfather would hand him money and say the same thing if he was ever upset! He claims it worked for him every time and he was going to follow the same tradition with me! Heck! I'll take it! Haha Also, my ever so amazing hubby thinks the same thing! Boy can this man shop! He's the perfect accessory to any day out to the mall, a flea-market, or even the food store for crying out loud! He loves to buy anything and everything and when it comes to me he'll buy whatever makes me happy! I love the feeling of having two wonderful men in my life that are willing to love and care for me! Even though they care oh so much, don't misconstrue that :] I make my own money to provide for myself and fulfill my guilty pleasures they just add to it. I'm too old to take "Daddy's money" anymore, but I'm sure if I couldn't buy it for myself, he would.
So yeah, I went shopping and bought a trillion things.
I finally purchased this from BH Cosmetics! Everyone, for some time now, has been raving about it. I typically use MAC, URBAN DECAY, SEPHORA eyeshadow, and lots of others - but I havent tried these! I have heard they are very pigmented and long lasting. I have searched far and wide for any negative reviews and nothing. So I went on BH Cosmetics' website and purchased it for $18.95 with 15% off. (coupon code: wntr10 - if you plan to purchase one!) I haven't received it yet due to obnoxious weather conditions here in the states, but when I do, I'll make sure you hear all about it!
