Hi Dolls!
Totally need to rave right now...
I received my Hana Pro Flat Iron a week a half ago, and I. AM. IN. LOVE. I have crazy hair. You will see below how crazy it really is! I just recently cut it (which I will show pictures of and talk more about in my next post). But before I cut it, it was long and super knotty, and dry. It sucked! I had no choice to go this short due to how damaged it actually was. I have been "blonde" or highlighted hardcore "blonde" since 2009. I get my hair bleached every few months and lets just say I am lucky I still have hair. lol
Before I ever dyed my hair it was sooo gorgeous, soft, long, and dark. Super pretty, but also, SUPER boring. I dont regret ever adding the blonde to my hair because I love it and so does my family and friends. So, I am not complaining, but rather explaining my situation.. lol
Anyways, I have been using my Flat Iron on my crazy hair, and it has made it feel so amazing, I play with it non stop! It's soooooo soft, and feels so healthy. Can a hair straightener actually do that? My Hana Pro does!
See for yourself! (totally embarrassed of my birds nest hair - lol)

What I also use is the Hana Shine Shield heat protectant and hair treatment. I use this before I blow dry and straighten my hair. It makes my hair smell amazing, and feel like silk. It's awesome!
If this Flat Iron can straighten that crazy birds nest you see photographed above, then you know it's a good product! I love how easy it is to use, and how you can control the heat settings - it also heats up super quickkkk! The heat proof mat that comes with it is so essential! I never owned one before and I am so so happy I have one now! It also came with a heat proof pouch which is great for traveling!
If there's a Flat Iron you need to have, it's this one! Check out these other products on their site as well! The first link is to the one I own!
If you have any questions on this badboy, ask away!!
Note: This product was sent to me for reviewing purposes. That in no way shape or form has had an effect on my personal opinion. As I have stated before, I review products for you and your reference and they are always my honest opinion!

Welcome to the cold winter months! I live in NJ and if any of you have the kind of weather we have here, you totally know what I am talking about! HELLO CRACKED, DRY LIPS! Ugh! I love this time of year, but I cant stand what it does to my lips!
I want to let you know what I use on my lips to help with the dryness, cracking, chapping, and peeling. Sounds terrible, I know. But there are solutions!
Victoria's Secret Smooth FX Lip Scrub: This comes in two parts attached together. The top part is a balm (the purple), and the bottom part is the lip scrub (clear with little baby beads). This lip scrub, is alright. I mean, it's a good lip scrub for those of you with minimal dry, cracked lips. It really doesnt have a distinct taste (which is a plus), and will do the trick if you want to clean up a bit and need some hydration. The lip balm is great, too! I love it! Definitely hydrating and tastes good!
Lush Lip Scrub in Bubblegum: This is a more textured lip scrub with a light bubblegum taste to it. I like this one better than the VS Lip Scrub. I constantly lick my lips so they get chapped and dry really easily. This lip scrub really helps to clean up the peeling. It's not as hydrating as the VS Lip Scrub, but typically you want to add a balm to your lips after, so regardless it's still great!
Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine: This is my go-to lip product to hydrate my lips after I have scrubbed them. I love this stuff! I use it throughout my day as well. My lips need all I can get and this really keeps them hydrated for extended periods of time and also helps when my lips are really chapped and I dont have my medicated chapstick with me!
Medicated Chapstick: I use this often as well! Due to the fact I lick my lips like CRAZY - this helps my lips when they get super red and start to hurt. This does tingle on your lips, especially if they are red. It's medicated so it started working immediately to alleviate the pain from the soreness and redness. IT REALLY WORKS! In just 24 hours after super sore redness and dryness, my lips were restored and I was back to using my Korres Lip Butter.
All these products are great! I use them daily/weekly and they truly help with cracked, peeled, sore, red, dry lips. I have to stay on top of my lip treatments due to the fact I am on the go and I do wear lipstick/lipgloss daily. It's not cute to have dry peeled lips while wearing lipstick!
Are there any lip products you use to cure/treat winter lips?
XO!

Hey Hey!
A few weeks ago I did a HAUL on some makeup products I purchased and I told ya I'd be reviewing some...
2 of the products in that haul were MAC's Viva Glam I and MILANI's Rose Hip. I didn't include MAC's Up The Amp because I purchased it a few days later.

2 of the products in that haul were MAC's Viva Glam I and MILANI's Rose Hip. I didn't include MAC's Up The Amp because I purchased it a few days later.
I love them all.. although each one is slightly different in terms of quality..
Mac's UP THE AMP is such a beautiful color I cant even stand it. I wore it to the first day of NJ FASHION WEEK.. it's the first photo shown in the post before this one... it's just simply darling. It has somewhat of a soft feel to it on your lips at first, kind of glossy-ish. But after I'd say 5 minutes, it dries out. Which to me I'm okay with. For days I'm working and I cant touch up my makeup for 8+ hours, I need a lipstick that is going to stay. I need it to not bleed, and I need it to stain and stay, and this lipstick is IT! It didnt bleed at all. It also didnt fade. I forgot to lip line my lips before I put this on and for a moment, I didnt even care. I figured I'd keep it on me at all times and check up on my lips when I felt I needed to. Yeah, even without lip liner this puppy stayed in place! A new favorite of mine for SURE!
Mac's VIVA GLAM I is a gorgeous deep red color. It is very drying. It is a matte color so it's expected to. I chose this color because I didnt want a red that was going to make my face stand out, I didnt want it to be like "WHOA, THATS RED!" I wanted it to be like a Merlot red, a devious, sassy, red and while I tested it on my hands at the MAC store, I still wasnt sure if I'd like it on my lips.. the color was just what I wanted, but it's not the 'IT' color until you wear it. I am SO happy I purchased it because while I put it on to a meeting for work, as I am driving there I could only think about it bleeding around my lips, or onto my teeth.. going to a meeting which you need to speak at would NOT help if you have red teeth. YUCK! This lipstick (while I did swear Revlon Lip Liner) stayed perfectly in place at the perfect times. If you lick your lips (I'm a huge lip licker, haha) then this lipstick bleeding can happen. I found that when I made this lipstick wet by licking my lips it bled a little bit. I really cant complain about that because it wasnt much and it wasnt often. I wore it for about 6 hours, I touched up twice and it bled like 2 times. I'm cool with that!
Milani's ROSE HIP is your typical hot pink color. It does have a weird smell to it and tastes kinda funny at first. Both the smell and taste go away after you have it on for a few minutes. I LOVED this color when I saw it on Miss Natty's Beauty Diary. She blogged about it a few weeks ago and I just HAD TO HAVE IT! I wore this on the second day of NJ FASHION WEEK. I had a pink theme going on with my accessories so having pink lips was just a must! It did upset me and frustrate me though.. it's not long lasting AT ALL. I had it on for about 2 hours before it started to fade. It also made my lips super super dry. I had to retouch my lips in a 13 hour time frame about 20 times. I know that sounds crazy haha but I did work for 13 hours straight so needing a lipstick to last for that long is a must.. and I guess I didnt think before hand about that when I put it on. I just saw it as a color that I just loved and had to wear. Staying power is HUGE for me and this didnt do the trick. As far as a gorgeous hot pink color to swear for a normal night on the town for a few hours, or even to work where you know you'll have time to touch up.. then it's perfect.. even for the price it's perfect!
Have any of you purchased any lipsticks and love them because they have excellent staying power, and dont taste bad? lol I am always up for purchasing new fun colors, but if the lipstick tastes bad and wont stay... I might have to pass... Let me know what you have in mind though!
XO!

Hey Hey Hey!
I didnt mean to be away for so long - I just got really jam packed with work and then I needed to catch up on my every day life. I've missed you all!!
So... where I've been!
I was selected to work with Celebrity Makeup Artist Kim Baker's Team Glamazon for NJ FASHION WEEK! It was such an awesome experience to not only do makeup for NJ Fashion Week, but to have been picked by very important people in this industry to be a part of it... ahhh priceless!
It was hard work, and exhausting all in itself, but I wouldnt have had it any other way. If you want to make it in this industry, YOU NEED TO WORK! Work from the ground up, slave, be someones assistant, do all the ground work before you can remotely see the top. I have been blessed, very blessed, and I cant thank God any more for the opportunities that have been thrown my way.
Here are just a few photos for you to check out what it was like!
(All these photos BELONG TO ME. You do not have permission to obtain, use, forward, etc. unless approved by myself!)
Backstage looks NOTHING like the runway... it's an absolute zoo! It's organized chaos with occasional unorganized chaos - but worth it in every way! In the photos with women and men dressed in black we were the elite team under Celebrity Makeup Artist Kim Baker for Team Glamazon.
I had the opportunity and privilege of meeting Kim G. of the New Jersey Housewives, Miguel from Jerseylicious (whom I had a lovely conversation with about his career in makeup and hair, I absolutely adore that man!), Donnella Tillery (Founder of NJ Fashion Week), Miss Teen America 2011 Katarina Kneer, and most of the designers of the clothing for the runway show.
I have also been privileged to work with Designer Darius Gibbs, as I touched up his makeup right before his runway show. He also personally invited me to work with him at 2 of his fashion shows in upcoming weeks!
This is where I've been for part of my week off from you guys!
I hope you all understand that my career is taking off rapidly and sometimes by surprise so if I am gone for a few days I sincerely apologize!
Cant wait to catch up on your blogs and see whats going on!
XO!

Hey Dolls!
My name is LC and I am a blushaholic! No, seriously.
This post is dedicated to my girl Nora over at Botoxey.
I have like a zillion blushers and I DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, leave the house without wearing it! As a child I was not allowed to wear makeup, or even play with makeup. My family was quite strict about it and it sucked! All my friends had lip glosses, and cute purses to carry all their "makeup" in and well I had nothing!! BOOOOO! :: thumbs down :: haha! The one thing that I would do religiously is smack my cheeks really hard so it would give me a blushed look. Sounds nuts right? Back then, I totally thought it was a genius idea! After a while, my cheeks stopped hurting from doing it so much! hahaha I sound like such a freak right now!
Anywho... I swatched a few of my MAC Blushes - I absolutely LOVE these! I just purchased two of them in the bunch and I am already in love! The 2 new ones are Equilibrium and Gingerly.

Anywho... I swatched a few of my MAC Blushes - I absolutely LOVE these! I just purchased two of them in the bunch and I am already in love! The 2 new ones are Equilibrium and Gingerly.
The photos really speak for the blushes as far the color is concerned. Very spot on.
GINGERLY
is a darker peachy color. It has a pinkish brownish undertone when comparing it to Peaches. If you are fair skinned, dont be afraid.. you can totally rock this as a contour or apply it lightly to your cheeks to give them definition. I am an NC30 and I am not too light, but nor am I dark/too dark. I am directly in the middle. This works well with my skin tone and I do love the versatility of it.
DOLLYMIX
is your typical rosey cheek color. I have been using this blush for yearrrrrrrssss. I have not one thing bad to say about it. I love it because clearly I love rosey cheeks, but also because it works great year round for me. You can apply it lightly for a subtle blushed look or really smack it on for the evening or night out on the town blushed look. It also has a sparkly shimmer tint to it. It's not matte at all.
PEACHES
totally lives up to its name. It's a very peach pigmented blush. It was perfect for this summer as peaches/corals were totally in, and it will be perfect for this fall/winter. There isnt much versatility with this color though. It applies PEACH and remains PEACH. There isnt really a way to apply it lightly as it's very pigmented. I suppose you can just dab alittle and blend for a super super subtle look, but I cant promise it will look as good. You can look as though you arent wearing anything at all. Regardless, I LOVE this blush and do recommend for any skin tone!
PINK SWOON
is a baby pink frosty color. It can be applied sheer or built up to it's max baby pink color. I loved this blush for most of this year since I purchased it. Before my Peaches madness this was my go-to. It's a playful sassy color. Absolutely perfect for all skin tones!
EQUILIBRIUM
I just purchased this a few days ago. I havent had the opportunity to wear it out.. only in my home when I was testing it out - thus far, it's an awesome color to be worn alone or with a pink/coral over it. The best way for me to describe it is, it's a naked blush. Gives your cheeks definition and character when worn alone. If you top it off with a pink or coral color it will give the colored blush a pop and make your cheeks stand out. For the fair skinned, I think you'd love it!
Hope this helped some of you or all of you in your search for some new blushers!
Any questions? You know how to find me!!!

Hey Dolls!
Time for September Favs!!
Time for September Favs!!
MAC Lip Conditioner
This is a lip hydrant. Its very creamy and doesnt have a strong taste! I keep this in my makeup bag and is a go-to when I'm on the go!
CHAPSTICK in Medicated
It's that time of year! Ugh.. it's bad enough my face is dry, but my lips too! THE WORST! This is my go-to if I ever bite my lips or if my lips get red from licking them so much. I lick my lips like crazy! Licking your lips + cold weather = no bueno! But this particular chapstick relieves the problem! LOVE IT!
MABELLINE FIT ME FOUNDATION
I gave you a quick review of this foundation already.. I used this almost 3 out of the 4 weeks of the month. It kept my face super hydrated. Love it!
MAC Cremesheen in Creme Cup
I've talked about this before as well... just a fun baby pink color, kinda sheer but buildable. Has been my go-to for most of the month as well!
MAC Eyeshadow in ERA
I LOVE THIS COLOR! It's a taupey color, and very true to my skin, well eyelids. haha - I use it as a base after I apply my eyeshadow primer. It's always great to apply a base color that is dry after you apply wet eyeshadow primer. It helps set the primer and helps with blending other colors you apply. OR you can use it alone, as I have used it alone to do simple pin-up looks!
MAC 217 Blending Brush
This brush is a few years old. As you can see the numbers have faded, substantially. BUT I have taken very well care of it and I hope to have it for years and years to come! I typically use this to apply my MAC ERA, or to blend my taupey colors. Just an awesome brush - pricey, but worth every penny!
I didnt have many "FAVs" this month as I purchased alot of my new products in the middle and end of the month... next month should be pretty sweet though!
Until then... cant wait to hear about your September Favs!!
XO!

Hey Hey Hey!
I have had quite a few people ask me what foundation I use, how do I get this "flawless face", etc. Although with taking very much care of my skin, I do use some awesome foundations and I wanted to share with you all which ones!

|
I have been using these foundations for quite a few months, some of them even years! All these are medium-full coverage, and buildable!
My sister recently told me "You always go for that Kim Kardashian face." I wasn't sure how to take that considering she's very opinionated and forward with her words, but I love Kim so who cares! Kim conceals EVERYTHING. And SO DO I. I dont need full coverage foundation, but I love wearing it. It gives an amazing finish to my face and I absolutely LOVE it!
Maybelline FIT ME Foundation is an AWESOME drug store brand foundation. Legit, for like $6-$7 dollars you are getting a bang for your buck! I LOVE this foundation and actually just purchased my second bottle as during the summer I was a tad darker so for the winter I need a lighter color! This foundation is like medium coverage and is very moisturizing. I have dry skin, it used to be VERY dry, although I have taken great care of it it's only dry once in a while. Still, I need to use moisturizing foundations and this is one! It's easy to blend, easy to build, and SUPER easy to match to your skin!
MAC Studio Sculpt is a thick matte foundation. It is a foundation you need to work with. Not your typical foundation where you can just add some to your face blend and go. For a newbie, this may not be a good start. I have been using this on and off (because I like to switch up my foundations depending where I am going or doing) for about 2 years now. It is a full coverage foundation and somehow still very buildable. This foundation will leave you unbelievably flawless looking!! A little bit goes a long way, and if you work it in to your skin the right way, you will fall in love!
Revlon PhotoReady Foundation is actually quite new to me. A few months ago I purchased it, tried it at home, and took it back. I couldnt stand it! Just a few weeks ago I purchased it again. I didnt put it in any of my hauls because I was REALLY unsure of it. I just purchased it again to REALLY give it a go. If I liked it I would blab about it, and if not, I was seriously going to write to Revlon lol. I sound like a maniac saying that! Haha This time I wore it under different weather conditions, wore it in photos, and I really like it! It matches my skin tone perfectly, which is a super plus! It is very matte and also medium-full coverage. I love the pump action it's got, too! I am enjoying it for now, although still unsure if I'll repurchase in the future. So far so good though!
Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation is a medium-full coverage foundation. It is matte. This is typically my go-to foundation. For the type of coverage it is, it's very light weight. Unlike the Studio Sculpt, it's super silky and thin. It blends amazing into the skin and leaves room for added coverage! I love this foundation for sure!
I recently got a sample of 2 Chanel foundations that I am honestly in LOVEEEEE with! It forthcoming days I will purchase one of them and give my feedback on both.
What foundations or even tinted moisturizers are you guys loving?
Tip: You can create your own tinted moisturizer by mixing lotion and your foundation together. Try it out, tell me what you think!

Helloooo!!!
I have struck again! I picked up a few things that I needed and well, of course, wanted!
I have struck again! I picked up a few things that I needed and well, of course, wanted!
There is a photo at the bottom left of my blog home page.. it's of a girl wearing a white t-shirt with a leopard cross on it. I found that photo a few months ago and almost fell off my chair! I NEEDED IT! I searched for it immediately and didnt find anything. Just a few days ago I decided to search for it again and it came up on Urban Outfitters website.. BOY WAS I THRILLED! It was also on sale for $14.99, so you KNOW I was on that! I purchased it and it finally came in today!! AHHH It's HUGE, haha, the size was a "one size." Therefore, it's ginormous, but I dont care! I am thinking of taking it to my tailor and hope she can do something with it, OR I'll just rock it big the way it is, with some leggings and a belt! Oh -& stilettos, of course!
The other important purchase of this all is the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. I have heard raves about this for MONTHS now.. My girl Cheryl @ Cheryls Beauty Blog posted about it recently and I just had to finally purchase it. She really knows her stuff. I cant wait to try it!!
The Zoe Thermal Pouch is for my hair straightener when I am on the go! This weekend, as some of you know, I went on a mini vacay to visit my girlfriend and her husband in Upstate New York.. I didnt have any way to store my hair straightener after I straightened my hair. It was actually still hot as I was ready to leave my house so I had to take it as it was and let it sit in the car. Had I had this Thermal Pouch, I would have been all set from the get go. Boo on me for purchasing it too late! BUT, I will have it for the futureeeeee!!
I am still very unsure if I like those EOS Lip Balm thingymajigs.. They taste kinda funny and we all know how I am about lippies that have funky tastes to them. The Lemon Drop one isnt so bad, and the Sweet Mint is OK. I need to keep wearing them to get used to them I guess!
I got those Nail Art Wheels too! I have been meaning to buy those for a while now and kept forgetting. When I stopped in Sallys I saw them and immediately remembered lol - I wanted those for blogging and for my own reference when I want to pick out a nail color! Definitely needed them for blogging too, because I dont want to always have to remove my nail polish to demo a nail color for you all. Having that really makes it easier for me!! Amen for chochkey gadgets like that!
So what I really went shopping for is a new blow dryer.. can you believe that after like 8 years my blow dryer died this weekend! That beast just stopped working on me! HOW DARE IT! I have had that thing since the beginning of time, ok not really, but you know I over exaggerate! haha! Here's what it looked like before it called it quits on me...(the black one pictured below)
The blow dryer to the left is my super super duper old one... lol it's like ancient, but I kept it after it started to go bad on me as a back up dryer... Then I had purchased the BabyLiss Pro (to the right) and it was my magic wand for the last almost 10 years! I lost the cap to the front so I stole it from the blow dryer to the left and taped it together, and I broke the back part that holds all the lint so it's been used that way for a while (the dryer fell). I mean, this thing took beatings and bangs and even got wet a few times - this thing was bound to stop working any day, but I definitely wasnt expecting it to be this weekend.
Anywho, it gave me a reason to buy this badboy!
This thing is NO JOKE! I needed a 2000 Watt dryer. I just love the speed and heat of it. The 1875 Watt dryers really dont work for my hair. Which is why I actually never purchased another dryer other than my Professional BabyLiss Pro, because I just didnt think something would be able to match how amazing it worked for my hair... BUT THIS THING... AHHHHHHHHHHHHH ::angels singing::
I got it on sale for $79.95 from $119.95 @ Ulta. Click HERE for the link to the site. Well worth the money!!!
That's all my new junk!
I have some EXTRA BUCKS to spend at CVS, have any of you purchased any drug store goodies that I can go there and purchase too?? Do tell, do tell!!
XO!

Hey hey heyyyy lovelies!!!
Guess who was backstage doing makeup @ the NFP STUDIO Fashion Show in NYC todayyyyyyyyy!!? ME ME ME!!!
I was contacted to head into the city to do makeup for Gail Travis' clothing line, New Form Perspective. PLEASE CHECK OUT HER WEBSITE, it's critically geniune and pure, while showcasing comfort and individuality! Website: NFP STUDIO Twitter: NFPSTUDIO.
I had the amazing opportunity to work with a top designer who has worked with Vera Wang, Calvin Klein, and Shelly Steffee. Gail is absolutely pure and such a beautiful woman! Meeting her for the first time, I fell inlove!
I'm infatuated with her clothes... no really, I AM! If you read my post on what my Fall Look is, and view her website, you'll totally catch my drift! Go check and see what I mean!
Or... I'll just show you! (These photos are credited to the NFPSTUDIO.COM website)
